My passion for horses and my ambitions as a rider first started at my parent's farm. Because of my own early experiences, I have I always been very interested in passing on my knowledge to kids, as well as to beginner riders of all ages.

At an early stage, I started to train horses that my parents had bred and to compete them successfully at horse shows at the lower levels.

Ten years in the stable of Dr. Reiner Klimke ( as you can also see at his video tapes), had considerable influence shaping my dressage training through the Grand Prix (1978 - 1987). During this same time, I also completed my teachers' education training at the University of Münster and subsequently taught Art & Biology.

 

 
In 1988, on the recommendation of Dr. Klimke, my husband and I, moved to the Republic of South Korea for an entire year. Over there, I worked as a trainer and assisted with the preparations of the dressage riders for the Olympics.

After our return in ‘89, we decided to dedicate our time entirely to horses. We went to another foreign country (California / USA) and made contacts and friendships, which are still lasting today. Since this time in California, I have regularly given clinics in the US.Back in Germany in 1990, I dedicated myself to studying with George Theoduresco for several months. On the recommendation of General-Major D.P. Stecken, I then successfully completed the "Bereiter FN exam, which was followed by the examination for the ”Reitlehrer FN” (national riding instructor) one year later. Both these exams were awarded with the "Stensbeckplakette," a distinction given for scoring high marks at the certifications.

We decided to take-over a boarding and training stable near the city of Rastede, in the heart of the Oldenburg horse region, where we trained both horses and riders up to Grand Prix level. Some of the horses which I trained by myself during this time successfully participated at championships in the Oldenburg and Weser-Ems area, as well as on the national level.

Since 1997, I have been offering training for both horses and riders at our own custom designed equestrian facility in Riesenbeck.
